Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Summer TBR List

This week’s topic is all about the books we bloggers plan to read this summer. I have SO many books I want to read this summer, but the following are the ones I really want to have read by the time summer has come to an end.

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

2. The Giver quartet by Lois Lowery

3. All of the Agatha Christie mystery books I own

4. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

5. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

6. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

7. Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

8. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

9. Looking for Alaska by John Green

10. The Maze Runner by James Dasher

So what do y’all think of my list? It’s a bit of a mix between YA and others; I’ve been meaning to have more variety in what I read lately, just so I don’t miss out on great books that aren’t in the YA genre.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Spring TBR List

This week’s theme is all about what is on our spring TBR list…my TBR list is so long, it’s hard to just put 10 titles! Between the YA books I have to read for my young adult literature class and the books I want to read for fun, it’s neverending. For this list, I didn’t include the books I will be reading for my class, but rather the books I really want to read for fun (obviously this list doesn’t include all of those titles though). In no particular order…

What do you all think of my spring TBR list? The sad thing is I probably won’t even get to these until after the beginning of May because of my school work (last semester of graduate school is pretty brutal at the moment). I guess there’s always hope for my summer TBR list?

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Had to Buy But Still Haven’t Read

toptentuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week, they will post a new Top Ten list that one of their bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Anyone can join!

This week was a freebie top ten Tuesday, so bloggers could pick from previous topics to discuss. I decided on the topic that talks about books I just HAD to buy, but still haven’t read. My TBR list is massive, and getting more so every time I visit a bookstore. So…this topic is going to be hard to narrow down to just ten, but here we go!

  1. Gated by Amy Christine Parker
  2. Tandem by Anna Jarzab
  3. Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay
  4. Pawn by Aimee Carter
  5. Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis
  6. Matched by Ally Condie
  7. Confessions of a Hater by Caprice Crane
  8. Love Disguised by Lisa M. Klein
  9. Timepiece by Myra McEntire
  10. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult (and Samantha van Leer)

I picked up most of these books for their descriptions, (in the case of Timepiece, I read Hourglass and loved it) or because their covers caught my eye. Some of these books I’ve had for several months…actually, all of them I’ve had for several months; one or two I’ve had for over a year! Honestly, I need to put more time into reading.
